Cybermom goes to CES and Kids at Play Summit

Last week, I attended my first Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and Kids at Play Summit in Las Vegas. CES is the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow that features more than 2,700 consumer technology exhibitors in 30 product categories. It was an overwhelming and exciting experience to check out what’s to come in technology in 2009 from online gaming to other technology for kids. I also participated in and attended the annual Kids at Play Summit, a day long event that revealed the latest news, product releases, research and much more about kids and technology.
Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing what I learned with you and boy did I learn a lot! The coming weeks will hold my experiences, new information about keeping kids safe on the internet and my opinion on the latest online toys for kids.
I talk to parents everyday about internet safety and technology. The number one concern I hear is that kids are too plugged in, too connected, to addicted to technology. Well, after seeing the way technology is evolving at CES this year, I feel less concerned and more, well, excited. The new stuff coming out ROCKS! And I am not only talking about Guitar Hero!
